Routes and devices,
matched to how you use them

Start with the sites and services you need to access, then choose a route and client. Select a feature on the right to see when it applies, how to check it and what the service does not cover. These panels provide information; they do not test your current device connection.

Location selection is for browsing only; it does not change your active connection.

Check performance over peak hours

To assess stability during evening peaks, test in your own network environment. VPN84 offers IEPL, relay and direct routes, so you can compare paths for your needs. If a meeting stutters, pause background downloads first, then test another route with the same client and destination. Check whether audio stays clear and pages load fully. A single download peak does not reflect performance over an entire evening. If the issue occurs only at certain times, note the time, location and error before submitting a support ticket. Your local network, the destination service and route congestion can all affect results, so performance cannot be guaranteed at all times.

Choose by target region, not just distance

When accessing collaboration tools, start with a route that matches the service's target region, then compare page response and call stability. A nearby location does not necessarily mean a shorter network path; ISP peering, egress location and the destination site's own status all affect performance. If you need content for a specific region, first confirm that the platform supports it rather than simply choosing a farther exit.

IEPL, relay and direct describe how a route is organized, not a score for any single experience. For a fair comparison, keep the device, network, destination and time of day consistent. If your local network is unstable, resolve that first before assessing international routes. The route status above is illustrative only; it is not an end-to-end speed test from your device.

Narrow down the issue before switching routes

If no websites load, disconnect the proxy and check your local network first. If just one site fails, keep the original error message and check account and regional requirements. If only an app is affected, check whether it follows the system proxy. Change one thing at a time: this makes it easier to find the cause than reinstalling the client, resetting the network and replacing the subscription all at once. It also makes the issue easier to describe in a support ticket.

When you first get started, keep one verified route for everyday use and learn what the other regions are for. You can compare your experience during peak hours and at quieter times; a brief loading failure does not establish a long-term pattern. For step-by-step troubleshooting, visit the diagnostics page. For full location details, see the routes page.

Clients and subscriptions

Platform access and import steps

Sign in to the dashboard to get your subscription. Windows, macOS, Android and Linux users can get the client there; the iOS download link is available when your plan is active. All links lead to the dashboard. This page does not provide installers or direct subscription links.

Import first, then test the connection

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password, save your login details, then check your plan and subscription status in the dashboard. Choose your platform in the downloads section, install the client and import the subscription using the dashboard instructions. A successful import means the client displays a configuration and available routes—not just that the download completed. Your subscription link is sensitive account information; do not post it publicly.

Choose a route and connect, then try a familiar international website before checking the app you need. If the website works but the app does not, check the app's proxy settings first. If the client shows no routes, check the subscription update and account status; an empty list does not mean your device is unsupported.

Use multiple devices; keep settings separate

There is no limit on the number of devices connected at once, but permissions and background behavior vary by operating system. On desktop, check that the system proxy is enabled. On mobile, review connection permissions and background restrictions. When moving to another device, retrieve the subscription from the dashboard again rather than using an outdated screenshot or configuration file from an unknown source.

A client launching successfully does not mean every app will automatically use the same route. Test each app against your actual needs to confirm the setup. For the full walkthrough, see the Getting Started Guide. For subscription update failures, mobile background disconnects or DNS issues, follow the symptoms in Troubleshooting.

Monthly plans and data packages

Choose a plan based on how often you use it

Monthly plans start at ¥9.9/month. Every tier supports unlimited simultaneous devices and comes with a 60-day refund policy. Data resets monthly on your activation date; mid-cycle upgrades are prorated into the remaining days. Compare your monthly usage first, then choose a data allowance—device count does not determine the tier you need.

Monthly plan · 60GB

¥9.9 / month

  • 60GB / month
  • Unlimited simultaneous devices
  • 60-day refund policy

A good fit for browsing, documents and light communication. If you often download large files or stream video for long periods, check your actual usage before deciding whether the allowance is enough.

Get started

Monthly plan · 250GB

¥18 / month

  • 250GB / month
  • Unlimited simultaneous devices
  • 60-day refund policy

A good fit for alternating between work collaboration and media access. Data use varies with file size, video quality and frequency, so fixed viewing times are not a substitute for checking your actual allowance.

Get started

Monthly plan · 500GB

¥28 / month

  • 500GB / month
  • Unlimited simultaneous devices
  • 60-day refund policy

A good fit for frequent file transfers and video access. A larger data allowance does not guarantee access to a platform or a particular route speed; test against your everyday needs.

Irregular usage? Check the lifetime data packages

¥158 / 300GB · ¥358 / 1000GB · ¥658 / 3000GB

Data packages remain valid until used and never expire. They are billed differently from monthly-reset subscriptions, so compare them against your own usage rather than directly comparing the package total with a one-month price. Before choosing, check the order type, included data and payment amount. Whether you need ongoing access or only use it occasionally is often more useful than price alone.

Alipay, WeChat and USDT are supported payment methods. After paying, return to the dashboard to check the order status and get your subscription configuration. If the status looks wrong, keep the details associated with the order and contact support by ticket. Do not post payment records in public discussions.

Before you get started

Account, connection and refund questions

Separate billing rules from connection requirements. Signing in, updating a subscription and accessing a destination website are different checks. If something goes wrong, you do not need to redo everything at once.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Save your login details and keep your subscription information secure. Creating an account and choosing a paid plan are separate steps. The start link does not make monthly plans or data packages free; check the plans page and dashboard order for actual charges.

Can I use multiple devices at once? Is data counted separately for each device?

There is no limit on the number of devices connected at once. Install a client and import the subscription on each device. Unlimited devices does not mean each one gets a separate plan allowance, so check your account's data usage. If a device reports a connection or configuration issue, check its subscription update, permissions and proxy settings first rather than assuming the device limit caused it.

What's the difference between a monthly plan and a data package?

Monthly plan data resets each month on the activation date. Data packages last until used and never expire. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated into the remaining days. If you use the service regularly, compare monthly allowances; for irregular use, check the data packages. Monthly reset rules do not apply to data packages, and the total price alone does not show long-term cost.

Why can't I open a website or app after connecting?

A connected status only means the client established a connection; it does not guarantee the destination platform will allow the current session. Check another website first, then confirm whether the app uses the proxy and review the platform's region and account requirements. If only one destination is affected, save the error message. If nothing loads, test your local network and check whether the subscription updated successfully. See the troubleshooting page for the full diagnostic steps.

How long is the refund period, and where do I apply?

60-day refund policy. To request a refund, sign in to the dashboard and submit your request with the order details through the support ticket portal. Read the refund policy and terms of service for full details. Do not include your password or full subscription link in a ticket.
